Assalam-o-Alaikum

I thought now might be a good time to put together a list of the best ideas for Islamic gifts for Ramadan + Eid. My own personal favourite is the iPalm Digital Quran (www.ipalmdigitalquran.com), which is brand new. It is the world’s first digital Quran with spoken English + Urdu translations. What other new + exciting products are out there?

Major sins are indeed the cause for all misery, evil and torment in this world and the hereafter.

And the worst of all sins are those that are greatest in harm and danger to humanity. Among the destructive major sins are backbiting and slandering. These two sins are forbidden by Allah because they sow enmity, evils and discord among people and lead to ...

Shaykh Husayn al-Awayishah discusses the merits of the Night Prayer in this excerpt from his book, ‘The prayer – its effect in increasing iman and purifying the soul’ (Al-Hidaayah Publishing and Distribution)

The Night Prayer used to be an obligation upon the Prophet SAW and his Companions, as occurs in Sahih Muslim in a long hadith from Zurarah, and in it there occurs:… she (i.e. A’isha) said, “Do you (i.e. Sad ibn Hisham) not recite:

Among all love and affections, the primary essential love and the love which is

Dr. Saleh As-Saleh

The submission of man to His Creator is the essence of Islam. The name “Islam” is chosen by God (Allah) and not by man. It is the same unifying Message revealed to all the Prophets and Messengers by Allah and which they spread amongst their respective nations. In its Final form it was revealed to Muhammad (Peace & Mercy of Allah be upon him) as a complete Message to whole mankind. The Lord, Allah, is the True and Only Creator ...

First off, make sure you have both Ikhlaas and I'tibaa - sincerity in intention and correction of action.

Is your intention truly to bring this person closer to the truth?

Or is it to prove him wrong?

Or to show off your oratory skills?

Make sure your intention is solely for the pleasure of Allah.

To bring this person closer to the truth and to guide him to the deen of Allah, al-Islam.

If a father/husband does not endorse his daughter's/wife's vows, all pledges made by her become null and void:

noted here that this story narrated in Genesis 18:9-16 has been mentioned more than once in the Qur'ân without any hint of any lies by Sara (11:69-74, 51:24-30). In the Christian West, both ecclesiastical and civil law debarred women from giving testimony until late last century.

If a man accuses his wife of unchastity, her testimony will not be considered at all according to the Bible. The accused wife has to be subjected to a trial ...

I would like to emphasize in this introduction that my purpose for this study is not to denigrate Judaism or Christianity. As Muslims, we believe in the divine origins of both. No one can be a Muslim without believing in Moses and Jesus as great prophets of God. My goal is only to vindicate Islam and pay a tribute, long overdue in the West, to the final truthful Message from God to the human race.

I would also like to emphasize that I concerned ...

After going some distance, he asked Uqba to ride the camel, but Uqba thought this would be showing disrespect to the Prophet (s.a.a.w.). But the Prophet (s.a.a.w.) insisted and he had to comply. He slept on a mat of rushes,

But the crown of Chosroes lay beneath the feet of his followers;

He chose the nightly solitude of Mount Hira,

And founded a nation, law and government;

He passed his nights with sleepless eyes,

That his Millet might sleep on Chosroes throne

In the hour of battle, iron was melted by the flash of his sword.

At prayer time, tears fell like drops of rain from his eyes.

Common Concept of God in Hinduism:

some Hindus believe in the existence of three gods, some believe in thousands of gods, and some others in thirty three crore i.e. 330 million Gods. However, learned Hindus, who are well versed in their scriptures, insist that a Hindu should believe in and worship only one God

Thus the major difference between the Hindu and the Muslim beliefs is the difference of the apostrophe ‘s’. The Hindu says everything is God. The Muslim says everything is God’s.
